Problem Possible cause Solution

No playback,

LED is red or off.

1. No mains connection. 1. Connect power cable to power outlet and AM 5.

2. Mains switch not switched on. 2. Switch mains switch to “ON”.

3. No input signal. 3.1 Check signal line and replace where necessary.

3.2 Start playback at source.

4. Input signal too low – automatic ON/OFF

circuit does not detect sound signal.

4. Set “AMP-MODE” to “ON”.

The AM 5 is now always active.

No playback,

LED is green.

No input signal. 1. Check signal line and replace where necessary.

2. Start playback at source.

AM 5 switches off

during playback.

Input signal too low – automatic ON/OFF circuit

does not detect sound signal.

Set “AMP-MODE” switch to “ON”.

The AM 5 is now always active.

Playback too silent. 1. Wrong input sensitivity “INPUT SENS.”

1. Select higher input sensitivity 0 dBu or even –6 dBu.

2. Wrong pin conﬁguration on signal line of

the “BALANCED INPUT”.

2. Check pin conﬁguration based on panel imprint

and correct it if necessary.
